Changepreneurs is a female-led organisation established in 2017 by Abiola (Abi) Akinbiyi. Changepreneurs started as a self-funded passion project and initiative to mentor, help, and empower young African Australian female youth and women to reach their full potential. The initiatives emerge based on Abiola's personal and lived experience in navigating life and career pathways in the diaspora and her dedication to improving the path for the next generation. The group now consists of dynamic young women from migrant backgrounds looking to make an impact within the Australian community. Through mentorship, education, and entrepreneurship initiatives, we strive to create a supportive environment where all individuals can thrive and succeed regardless of their background.
Changepreneurs is now an incorporated organisation providing a platform for mentoring, empowerment, and networking opportunities for African-Australian female youth and CALD women. These changemakers positively impact the communities through their passion, skills, knowledge, and experience. With a seven-pillar approach and overwhelming success stories, the Changepreneurs mentorship program and platform have transformed the lives of youth and empowered young women to become confident, resilient, and booming leaders in their communities and beyond. As we expand our reach and impact, we remain committed to nurturing the next generation of empowered women and creating a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
The name Changepreneurs reflects a group of young women who are in the business of making positive changes in the community and far beyond. Changemakers positively impact the communities through their passion, skills, knowledge, and experience. Changepreneurs are in the business of making that change.
